Paul -A great captain and a defenceman who would be very hard to replace. Loves the team but can’t fight. 7/10
Jono -Was a proper leader and had an excellent season, proved by the fact that his very vocal critics have been extremely quiet this year. We missed him badly when he was injured after the Coventry bench clearance. Quality British defenceman who is worth his weight in gold. 9/10
Iain -Are there still any doubters that Danny is a true captain? I know he has his knockers in the fanbase but I believe them to be misguided. Stand out season from Danny as a player and a coming of age as a Captain. Great leadership, totally dedicated. 10/10
Greg -Gets and extra mark for his captaincy. Gets caught out of position too much for my liking and needs to work on his shooting. 7/10
I’m with Iain on this 10 out of 10. How quickly did Bolero Square fall silent when Danny took to the microphone….when he speaks everyone listens. When he chased in to prevent Levers taking a penalty following Wellers boarding call 2 minutes from the end of the play-off final, he proved beyond doubt that he is well worthy of the C on his jersey.
His shooting wasn’t too shabby in the GB games!
