Played 67 Goals 46 Assists 40 Points 86 PIMs 61

Paul -Stand out season but he needs to spend the summer on a dairy farm with a banjo. 7/10

Jono -Career season for one of the most natural finishers in the British game. Criticised for missing the target as much as he does, but if he did improve his shots to goal ratio he wouldn’t be playing in the EIHL. We’re lucky to have him. 8/10

Iain -I joked with Jono that I should have “Clarke shoots wide” put on a shortcut for TCW. Clarke has come up with the goods again. He does what he is paid for, scores goals. Laugh of the season is his painting as a thug by the Clan fans. Its the funniest thing I have heard in years. 8/10

Greg -If I thought too much about David Clarke, I’d be bald. He makes me want to tear my hair out. He doesn’t pass, he misses the target way too often and just looks as though he’s coasting most of the time. Of course when he does try and fight he ends up with half of Glasgow queuing up tell him how terrible he is so you can’t have it both ways. 6/10

Now I am someone who has given Clarkey some in seasons past. I have called him lazy, bemoaned the fact that he wouldn’t use his body or chase a puck into the corner, ranted about his lack of interest in defensive play and his actual willingness to pass.
This season I haven’t had to do any of those, he has had by far his best season with us and not just on the scoring front. We have seen big hits and fights, scrapping in the corners, backchecking and even taking down opposition on breakaways – taking 2 minutes to prevent a goal.
He scored 46 but it could have been 66, his problem is he likes to get the shot away quickly and with plenty of power, which means accuracy is erattic. Looked better when he wasn’t playing with those cheap sticks GM brought in.
9/10….same again next season please David
