A new blog has recently entered the on-line hockey world, and happily this one is written by Panthers fan Dan Newham. 4.4 seconds is Dan’s own interpretation of Panthers, Elite & NHL news. Started just last week it’s seen a few articles posted already, with some excellent profiles of three of Panthers new signings (so far). The tag line of the blog is ‘Panthers news without spin’, if only the office were like that!
Hockey blogs seem to be the in thing at the moment. There’s a general one on the Sheffield Steelers Hall of Fame website called Icebreaker, with news of the hockey world with a humorous slant and very well written to boot.
Several more blogs can be found on the ‘Blogroll’ on the right of the screen, including our old friends The Snow Plough or ‘The Genuine Article’ as it was described on Steeltalk last week (oh how we laughed!) While the quality of writing is excellent, consistency does seem to be a bit of a problem. When it first started, they were constantly telling us of what wage cap breaking cheats the Nottingham Panthers were, and how Neil Black was throwing his countless millions at bringing players to the club. Ever since our roster was completed it’s all gone extraordinarily quiet on that front. Maybe writing about breaking the wage cap is getting a little bit too close to home!
