A man walks into an antiques shop and spots a bronze cat statue in the corner. He enquires the price from the shop owner, who replies “The statue is priced at £10, but it is £100 for the story that goes with it”. The man declines the story but buys the cat and walks out.

A few yards up the road, the man notices that two cats are following him. Further down the road he looks back and is shocked to find one hundred cats following him. Slightly worried, he carried on but soon found that thousands of cats were now following him. He panicked and started to run, with the cats staying close behind. As he ran he reached the river bank and tossed in the bronze cat statue. To his amazement, all the cats follow the statue into the water and rapidly drown.

Shocked, the man returns to the shop. On entering the shop owner says “Ah, I see you have returned for the story”. The man replied “No, I was wondering if you had a bronze Sheffield Steelers fan!”
