Dave Page – A Tribute

It was with great shock and sadness that I heard about the death of Panthers photographer Dave Page while on a short break in the Netherlands yesterday. After reading that he was ‘on the mend’ after his recent stroke the news came as a bit of a body blow.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dave, a very pleasant man who knew exactly how to take a photograph and put you at ease while doing so. As part of The Rink Rush, Dave was very much involved in photographing the event, from taking a publicity photo outside the NIC to dragging several bleary eyed Peterborough players to meet us at or first stop at 9am on a Sunday Morning!

Dave was also good enough to provide the photography for The Rink Rush Challenge Trophy, ensuring that the players who played that day were able to have a memento of their day.

Whenever and wherever I saw him, there would always be a nod, smile and a cheery hello and that’s how I’d like to remember him.

Rest In Peace Dave.
