Challenge Cup Semi-Final 2nd leg preview

Wednesday sees the biggest night of Panthers season, coming so soon after the last one! With a league title victory now requiring nothing short of a miracle after defeat in Coventry, Panthers can slightly make up for it by securing their passage into the Challenge Cup final and with a two goal lead from the first leg we have to fancy our chances.
The Steelers will have some confidence after splitting their games with Belfast at the weekend, however they still languish in seventh place in the league and were quite dreadful in the first leg of the tie. Having lost all six league and cup games against the Panthers this season the Steelers face an uphill task, especially as they have to win the game by three clear goals, something they haven’t done at the NIC since the 7-0 play-off thrashing in 2006!
I expect the game to be much better than the fare that was dealt up last week and the crowd to be hopefully much bigger, but I can’t see anything other than a Panthers win, we have the best home record in the league and have proven beyond doubt that this season we are a much better side than the Steelers. I guess at around 10pm on Wednesday night we’ll know the answer.
