Steve Lee returns for a fourth season

British defenceman Steve Lee has re-signed for his fourth season at the Nottingham Panthers, as announced tonight on the official website.
Still only 21, Lee continues his development under Corey Neilson’s tutelage which has seen him win three Challenge Cup & two play-off championship medals in his three seasons at Panthers.
Neilson said of Lee’s return “Steve has had some fantastic games for us already and the potential is there for even greater things. He thrives on responsibility and he takes it on board when it comes his way. He’s getting better and better and we’re very happy to have him back in the line-up.”
Steve himself added ““I am thrilled to be back. We had a great year last year and I’m looking forward to another great year with the Panthers. We’re aiming to win again, we aim to win every game and every game is a challenge that we want to succeed in.”

Lee’s return puts paid to rumours that he was to leave for either North America or Europe, however there are plenty of other rumours doing the rounds regarding Panthers at the moment, number one being that Jonathan Weaver could be on his way to the NIC after Coventry Blaze confirmed that he wouldn’t be returning to the Skydome.
The next few days could be very interesting in the EIHL player movement stakes, watch this space as they say…….
